A wine and cheese fest that will be fun for all
The Wine and Cheese Fest 2020 will be running on its 8th year in March of 2020. This will have about 60 unique cheese and smallgoods manufacturers and wine at their new location, The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne! It will be held on Sunday 8th March 2020 from 12.00 noon to 7.00 pm. The actual address will be 351 Plummer Street, Port Melbourne.



Without a doubt, this is going to be Melbourne's premier food and wine festival. The visitors coming to this Fest will be able to experience some FREE tastings of quality food and drink producers.

They will also be able to learn the reasons for the trade in the FREE masterclasses. And of course, not to mention, enjoying great music in a fun and relaxing family friendly atmosphere and getting to watch or even try in the legendary Grape Stomp Comp! The party will actually start up as soon as the sun goes down on the lawn. Then there will be some DJs, food trucks and a fully stocked bar entertaining audiences until 11.00 pm.

GRAPE STOMPING COMPETITION
Prizes will still be announced soon –so keep a check on Facebook (link below) So, if you like to enjoy yourself then this will be a way to do that! It is a traditional way, so send your details through to this link.

The Grape Stomp Competition will be taking place in the outdoor part of the Fest between 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm on the day, so come on down and stomp.

CHEESE MAKING AND WINEMAKING MASTER CLASSES
Giorgio Linguanti is from That's Amore Cheese. He is known as the "Maestro of Mozzarella" and will be giving a live demonstration of how to make sticky Mozzarella. His talent is brilliant and he is one of Australia's best makers of Italian cheese. It won't just be a demonstration class, it will be also be a delectable experience.



Melbourne and Cheese in conjunction with Matthieu Megard from L'Artisan Cheese will make up a Masterclass on Traditional French Recipes, Australian-made theme. Matthieu will also be advising about the soft cheeses and will give you a demonstraction of how to begin to make some of these soft cheeses.



VIP MASTERCLASS - TASTE 100 YEAR OLD WINES
The Masterclass is available only to VIP tickets holders and there are strictly limited places in these. Here you will enjoy a presentation by the winemaker Matthew Barry and all attendees will have an opportunity to taste the old wines from Mount Avoca, where Matthew is from. This is going to be a very rare opportunity to be able to drink such a unique selection of wine!



There will also be some more masterclasses to be announced shortly. This is going to be an event that you really do not want to miss, so make sure that you have reminders in the important places you need.

Further Information:
GA tickets with several entry times will be used as a guide to avoid long queues at the gate.

Children - there is going to be a kids zone, where they must be accompanied by a responsible guardian at all times.

The tastings of wine, cheese and cider are all included in the ticket price you pay. Free masterclasses will run throughout the day. Visitors to the Fest will get a festival glass to keep and take home.

After 7.00 pm, there is going to be a party on the lawn and everyone is welcome to come to this.
