There is a spot in South Australia that was legendary in my old high school. It is a little patch of land in the Adelaide Hills along Belair Road, about 15 minutes from the city. It is known as Windy Point but on a clear day you can, as one of my old classmates once wistfully said, 'feel the sun on your skin and watch it set over the ocean.' At night the city lights flare up like candles in the dark and you can stand on top of the world, or at least on top of Adelaide. It is the ideal spot for a first kiss. And a second. And a third.



Even for those who haven't found that special someone, the view is definitely worth the trip. is one of those special little places that the city of Adelaide is known for, and a ideal spot to pause and reflect, by night or by day. There is also an award winning restaurant & cafe if you can tear your eyes away from the view.
