, recently opened at 42 Punt Road, Windsor, should be on the list for anyone keen on craft beers. Offering 19 craft beers on tap, as well as an extensive selection of quality pub food, the Windsor Alehouse is quickly establishing itself as a favourite amongst the locals.

The venue has been refurbished and offers an open, warm and casual atmosphere.

Head chef, Kevin McLaughlin, has spent many years in the UK and Ireland developing his knowledge in contemporary modern cooking. Having previously lived in Melbourne for two years while working at The Deck in Southbank, Kevin is excited to showcase his flair at , where he will be integrating craft beer right through the menu.
"Our menu complements our beers and ales to give you the full experience a craft beer venue should. We are bringing the beer right into our cooking and braising," says Kevin. "I am very fond of drinking beer surrounded by knowledgeable beer drinking friends who keep introducing me to the great beers here in Australia!"

The menu features local seasonal produce and offers share options including black pudding bon bons with red pepper romesco and crisp fennel ($14), southern fried pork belly bites with maple glaze and celeriac remoulade ($13), and stuffed jalapeƱos ( $14). For those looking for something more substantial, traditional pub favourites like the 8oz beef burger ($22), the slow braised beef brisket ($25), or the sticky pork ribs ($28) should satisfy the hunger pangs.

The menu also offers a range of vegetarian and gluten free options.

Stefan Trentini, the venue's head bartender, comes off the back of a seven and a half year stint at The Local Taphouse in St Kilda. He is keen to expose new audiences to the world of craft beer and is more than happy to make recommendations to match your meal. "The SupaFly Rye IPA starts with a spiced, slightly liquorice malt body then balances to a floral and piney hoppiness with legs for days. I would match it with the braised brisket, as the malt character of the beer really compliments and contrasts with the richness of the beef and the jus."
