in Hughenden is famous among locals and visitors. It has great reviews, so we decided to visit for breakfast.

It has some seating areas at the front of the cafe as well as inside. We chose to sit inside that morning. As we opened the door, we could smell bacon and eggs cooking. After we put our order in, we sat and had a look around inside the cafe. I could see some certificates of appreciation from local community groups and events that had supported. On the wall, there were some beautiful barbed wire sculptures by a local artist.

The place was clean and spacious. I could hear the lady behind the counter having a chat with some of her customers. The very friendly staff.

Not long after ordering, my coffee arrived. I did tell the waitress if she could bring my coffee first as I wasn't 100% awake yet. The coffee came in a super large mug. I woke up after just seeing the size of the mug!

I was glad that I decided to share the big brekkie plate with my daughter because it was a huge and generous amount of everything.

Hubby and I decided to grab something for lunch here too before hitting the road again. They had gluten-free options. Pity we couldn't bring some of the yummy sweets as we didn't have enough cooler bags to store them. But their homemade Cherry Ripe Slice and Peppermint Cheesecake just waved at us as we walked out of the café. Next Time!

Check their Facebook page to find amazing deals and yummy food.
