Ipswich Art Gallery Kids Program

Let your hair down in this terrific interactive exhibition. Here you can build and design your own magical flying contraption to test in the Ipswich Art Gallery Wind Tubes.

You can see the labours of your work take off as you test your creation and see it soar to the ceiling, giving kids hands-on experience learning about air and invention.

Wind Tubes is a hands-on exhibition that challenges you to make a flying creation out of everyday materials and launch it into large, clear vertical tubes of moving air.

You will be tasked to create as many flying machines as your heart desires using a range of materials - plastic, paper cups, polystyrene, ping pong balls, propellers and more. You will need to think about the best way to make your machine fly. Can you overcome turbulence, drag, air resistance and gravity?

This interactive exhibition is creat for the entire family (I think mums and dads will have fun here too) - and there is an under twos group and a toddler program.
