Hot on the heels of the wildly successful Melbourne Dog Lovers Show, Sydney is to play host to its own all-things-doggy event with the Sydney Dog Lovers Show kicking off on 7-9 November at the Royal Hall of Industries and Horden Pavillion (next to Fox Studios) - and Weekend Notes has 5 free doubles passes to give away to our readers.
There will be much to watch and more to see at the show, including over 200 exhibitors, some 600 dogs in the breed showcases, lots of dog experts and displays of working and trained dogs. Farmer Dave, Dr Katrina and her Wonderdogs will be on the main stage, along with dog whisperer, Tony Knight. There is also a Rescue Dog Zone where you will find out all you need to know about how to adopt an animal into a loving home. The 25 breeds on show will help those looking for a dog to decide what type of dog may be best suited to their needs - there is even a 'perfect match' questionnaire to help you see which dog will best suit your lifestyle! The Puppy School is sure to be a big hit with the kids, and there is free doggy face painting to keep them entertained between the shows. There are also a series of experts and vets giving educational seminars throughout the show.
Farmer Dave and Crew will be at the Sydney Dog Lovers Show
It's an ideal place to go to pick up new ideas about training, grooming and entertaining your little mate and a lot of the exhibitors will have substantial show discounts on their items. Check out the dog clothing stores, along with all the main pet store chains and other dog speciality brands, such as Kong. You'll also be able to find the Pet Accommodation on the East Coast and Sydney for Dogs guidebooks. Having spent 3 full days at the Melbourne Dog Lovers Show in May, I can vouch for the fact that there is plenty to keep you entertained!
Lots of people ask whether they can bring their dogs to the event, but as it's a big, busy indoor event, in the dogs' best interests, no dogs are allowed (except those in the show).
To be in the running to win one of the 5 free double passes to the Sydney Dog Lovers Show, email us at email@example.com with "Sydney Dog Lovers Show" in the title of the email, and include your name and address telling us which type of dog you have/would choose, and why (in 25 words or less). The competition closes on 7th October 2014.
