Inspired by the lives of the actual von Trapp family, The Sound of Music tells the epic story of Maria, a fun-loving nun who changes the lives of the von Trapp family when she becomes the governess to the seven children. Maria re-introduces the family to music, culminating in the family's escape from the Nazis across the mountains from Austria.
