The magic is back! Enjoy another year of fun-filled activities at Caulfield Racecourse this Christmas season. Fair-style rides, arts and crafts, gingerbread decorating, and the spectacular Christmas Circus will delight you and your family for three hours.

Regular snow falls in Snowland and the all new snow castle this year. Santa and Mrs Claus and their favourite Christmas friends will all be there, including "Ailsa" the Snow Queen.

Your ticket includes access to all of Santa's Magical Kingdom activities, plus special letter-writing area for Mrs Claus, and new amusement rides; exciting for the whole family.

Is it worth it? It felt a bit expensive at first, but when you consider unlimited access on all eight rides, winter-themed jumping castle with slide, a gingerbread man decorating station (take-and-eat), Lego station that we got a free Santa Lego keyring at, "real" snow tunnel (sort of foamy white spray, harmless and has an authentic, wet-snow-like feel to it), and an amazing 45-minute circus act by Silver Circus. Relative to the cost of, say, the SeaLife Aquarium, or Zoo, or even the Royal Show; I'd say you're getting pretty good value. The best age range would be five to ten years old, though younger and older children would definitely enjoy much of what is offered. They limit the number of tickets available for each three-hour session. The flow of people was very efficient; minimal to no lines for each of the six amusement rides, plus two outdoor attractions, the massive super-carpet-slide (the largest in Australia), and a large "ferris wheel" with semi-enclosed cabs. See more in my review of last year's event here.

The smell of gingerbread is sure to bring back memories of Christmases past. Kids can decorate (and eat!) their very gingerbread man in the Gingerbread House. Continue your journey to story-time with Mrs Claus, high-five with Rudolph or Frosty, or make your way to the roller coaster.
