Where are we going? To Treasure Island
Theresa Borg has directed Dora Live shows for Life Like Touring since 2010: "Dora is an explorer. Children are explorers. The genius of Dora is that she takes our children with her on adventures to new places – some of them imaginary, some of them real world – all within a familiar format and with familiar company." While "familiar format" is putting it generously, the kids do love the repetition.

Dora the Explorer has emerged as a global phenomenon since its launch on Nickelodeon in 2000. The show has received numerous international industry awards, and has been seen around the world and translated into more than 30 languages.

My sons and daughter alike love the interactive, animated adventure series Dora the Explorer and Go, Diego, Go! Designed to encourage and empower kids to communicate, solve puzzles, and discover the world around them through an interactive format, these shows can only be made better by coming to life on stage. To get them in the spirit, check out these free printable Dora and Diego activities.

Have your kids ever seen their favourite television characters "live" on stage? They will truly believe they have found the ultimate party, when they are encouraged to participate and interact with Dora, her best friend Boots, her cousin Diego, and all of their friends on an adventure to Treasure Island.

Your kids will help Dora and her friends get over the Dancing Mountain and through the Silly Singing Bridge to search for the ultimate pirate party at Treasure Island. Along the way, Dora the Explorer fans will, of course, get help from the map, from the map, from the map, from the map, from the map! Reading, counting, musical, and language skills successfully help Dora to avoid that sneaky fox, Swiper, and to reach Treasure Island for a pirate party.
