While I've had my fair share of rides, I particularly love the food offerings in various pavilions (with a new Australian Food Awards Deli to check out this year), the live entertainment, whether daredevils in the arena or live music, the livestock, the arts and crafts and lifestyle pavilions, the woodchopping, and the sense of feel-good fun all round. It simply makes you feel great.
There are various ticketing options and special deals to make your trip as affordable as possible but be aware that's once inside, unless you have a bunch of kids clamouring for everything, you can get away with a pretty affordable day out given so much free entertainment. Pack lunch if you have to, but go!
If you'd like to make your day better than ever, enter for your chance to win tickets to the Royal Melbourne Show.
Get to it.
