WIN 1 of 10 Double Passes to MAUDIE - In Cinemas AUGUST 24

Home > Canberra > Cinema | Competitions | Free | Win Stuff
Event: -
Starring Ethan Hawke and Sally Hawkins

Thanks to our generous friends at Transmissions Films, we're giving our members the chance to WIN an in-season double pass to Maudie! We have 10 double passes up for grabs in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane. That's 60 Double Passes in total!

Based on the true story of Canadian folk artist Maud Lewis, MAUDIE is an unlikely romance in which the reclusive Everett Lewis (Ethan Hawke) hires a fragile yet determined woman named Maudie (Sally Hawkins) to be his housekeeper. Maudie, bright-eyed but hunched with crippled hands, yearns to be independent, to live away from her protective family. She also yearns, passionately, to create art. Unexpectedly, Everett finds himself falling in love. MAUDIE charts Everett's efforts to protect himself from being hurt, Maudie's deep and abiding love for this difficult man and her surprising rise to fame.

Directed by Aisling Walsh and starring Ethan Hawke, Kari Matchett and Sally Hawkins.

To celebrate the release of MAUDIE in cinemas August 24, 2017, WeekendNotes subscribers have the chance to win an in-season double pass.

To go into the draw, all you have to do is send an email titled 'MAUDIE' to and let us know in 25 words or less why you want to see this anticipated drama. Please make sure to include your full name and mailing address so we can send you your prize!

10 lucky winners in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane will be drawn on 21 August, 2017.

Looks like an encouraging and real-life movie, especially for aspiring artisans like me. I'm looking forward to see it. It gives me hope and joy that even the
'weirdest' of us can succeed, form relationships, be accepted and be happy.
