Do you ever get to the weekend and find yourself wondering what to do? Or how you can entertain your bored kids? Then get back to basics and have a picnic in the beautiful Willunga.
Situated 45 minutes from the Adelaide CBD is the historic town of Willunga. Here you will find boutique shopping, spectacular wineries, microbreweries and great coffee. But if you are looking for something more for the kids, then head to the Willunga Jubilee Rose Garden.

Can you get out of the Rose Garden Maze?
The reserve was once part of the original livestock sale yard, where local livestock was auctioned. Now it is home to the rose garden maze, a playground, a skate park and picnic facilities. There is also plenty of room for larger games like kicking the footy or throwing a frisbee.

plenty of space to be active
There is a BBQ you can use at the Willunga Jubilee Rose Garden, however, we chose to stop in at the supermarket on the way and make our own delicious feast to enjoy on the lawn.

Bring your own delicious feast to enjoy on the lawn
If you head to the town of Willunga on a Saturday, you can pick up some local goodies or lunch at the Willunga Farmers Market, located at Willunga High School each Saturday morning 8am-12pm before heading to the park.
Peaceful and spacious, the Willunga Jubilee Rose Garden should be on your list of picnic spots to visit this year.
