Willow & Spoon is my new favourite! Located on Samford Road in Alderley, this trendy little cafe is becoming very popular, very quickly. The menu, which changes monthly, has some very creatively named dishes - which for May include 'The Garden of Eden' (homemade granola, fresh fruit, white fig, lychee blossom honey and vanilla cream) and the 'Sleeping Beauty' (poached eggs, mushroom & tarragon muffin, tomato-honey and garden pea sauce) - oh my.

I popped in last week for a coffee and a white chocolate and raspberry muffin and was delighted with the friendly hospitality and relaxed atmosphere - the cafe owners are so laid back that they have an open kitchen. You can walk right through the kitchen out into the outdoor dining area, which is essentially a backyard decked out with a bunch of tables and chairs and a groovy art piece painted onto a brick wall.

There are two main dining areas, the front of the cafe which is decorated with hip, retro furniture that looks like it's come from the local op shop and the rear includes both an indoor area and a garden, which is very kid friendly (toy box and all) and features a veggie patch.

If you have some spare time on the weekend, pop in and check it out.
