Good news for those who love the old Federation style home in Sawyers Valley known as Willow House.

It has been taken over by Ana DiCiano and her husband, Charlie, and they are restoring it to its former glory. The work is mainly done and only a few areas, including the large back yard, need to be completed.

Most of the front has been transformed into a gift shop of singular charm. The walls are an agreeable light Wedgwood blue picked out in white and the original Jarrah floors have been sanded and sealed to a high finish.
Ana owned and operated a successful gift store in Maylands for some years, but seeking a tree change she and Charlie have moved up to the seclusion and peace of the hills.
The gift shop, just about to open, offers a very wide range of eclectic gifts. What Ana calls 'things to make you smile and feel good.'
There are china mugs, cups and teapots; clothing accessories such as pashminas and shawls; gifts for toddlers and baby showers as well as a large selection of costume jewellery, all displayed on antique and crafted furniture rather than soulless racks. There are even some antiques on sale and some superb lighting features and chandeliers.
There are also wares from local craftspeople and Ana is looking for quality local craft to sell on consignment from our local talent.
