As someone who greatly enjoys being by the sea, Williamstown is a must for me on sunny spring days and warm summer nights. There is nothing more relaxing for me then sitting on a bench by the water and watching the sailboats. This experience is made better by savouring a scoop or two of ice-cream from one of the famous ice-cream shops nearby.

There are several activities that you can keep busy with if you wish to do more than just watching the sea! One of the highlights is catching a ferry to Southgate which takes approximately one hour. Alternatively, treasure a nice day in the park by having a picnic with the kids. Whatever you do, make sure to try the delicious ice-creams around. I have been to Williamstown several times during summer just to have ice-cream!

Williamstown is one of Melbourne's ideal locations to spend valuable time with your loved ones. If you haven't been yet, I strongly recommend everyone to go next time the weather holds up! Once having discovered the beauty of the pier, you'll surely be going back more often than you think.
