Williams Grove Carpark, Bonbeach

A lovely place to build up those 10,000 daily steps
People are going to think that I have a bit of a thing for car parks, and in a way that is true, there nothing worse than making your way down to the beach or river on a hot day and then not knowing where to go, or where to organise to meet friends so that you can catch-up for coffee or a pleasant walk along the beach.

Walking along the foreshore at Bonbeach

Williams Grove is on the beach side of the Highway, at the end of this small street is a carpark that is tucked away between the between the houses and the beach. There's plenty of parking, although I regretfully report there are no public conveniences which is a bit of a shame.

A couple of the places that I have already mentioned in previous articles have been The Horse Paddock Carpark and Pompei's Landing; both are readily observable from the road,

Today I want to high light Williams Grove Carpark, which unfortunately is not so readily observable from the highway. The carpark can be found easily if you look out for one of two possible landmarks; the Bonbeach Railway Station or on the opposite of the highway the Bonbeach Cafe.

However you could pop into the Bonbeach Cafe for a quick cup of coffee if the need for a toilet should arise.

It's also a dog friendly beach. Even though it was overcast when we visited, there were still plenty of people walking along the beach.

Keep your eyes open, as you never know what you might find or see!

No it's not my panda but it did bring a smile to my face

Some things are amusing and funny, other things like this sign outlining the rules of use of the beach are a bit baffling; I couldn't quite work out what the actual dog walking off leash times were. It almost looks as if there is more off leash time during summer rather than winter - which can't be right. The Kingston website didn't really help to elucidate the situation either. So I'll leave it to all you dog owners to work out what is actually meant by the sign below!

Hi there. There is a public bathroom available at this car park. It is located on the south side of the car park, at the end of Harding Avenue.
