A lovely place to build up those 10,000 daily steps
People are going to think that I have a bit of a thing for car parks, and in a way that is true, there nothing worse than making your way down to the beach or river on a hot day and then not knowing where to go, or where to organise to meet friends so that you can catch-up for coffee or a pleasant walk along the beach.
Williams Grove is on the beach side of the Highway, at the end of this small street is a carpark that is tucked away between the between the houses and the beach. There's plenty of parking, although I regretfully report there are no public conveniences which is a bit of a shame.
Today I want to high light Williams Grove Carpark, which unfortunately is not so readily observable from the highway. The carpark can be found easily if you look out for one of two possible landmarks; the Bonbeach Railway Station or on the opposite of the highway the Bonbeach Cafe.
Some things are amusing and funny, other things like this sign outlining the rules of use of the beach are a bit baffling; I couldn't quite work out what the actual dog walking off leash times were. It almost looks as if there is more off leash time during summer rather than winter - which can't be right. The Kingston website didn't really help to elucidate the situation either. So I'll leave it to all you dog owners to work out what is actually meant by the sign below!
The Williams Grove Carpark sign - outlining the rules a little confusing but maybe it's in code for the locals?
Seating - some Public Toilets - none Cafes close by - Bonbeach Cafe & the Little French Deli Parking - on street (limited) or in the carpark itself. Free disabled parking available. Public transport- near the Bonbeach train station. Access to local buses also.
