Having spent the last few years living abroad I now wish to rediscover my home city of Sydney to keep that 'travelling feeling' and share my findings with those that might want a bit of inspiration.

Business Lunch? Special Event? This is the perfect place
Fancy a delicious, high-quality 3-course meal for fraction of the cost? Serving up food and wine that would not be out of place amongst the best restaurants that Sydney has to offer, the secret of William Blue Dining is starting to make the rounds and won't be a secret much longer.
William Blue Dining is the showcase restaurant of William Blue College of Hospitality Management. Located inside the North Sydney Northpoint Building, the restaurant has gained many of its clientele through the positive word of mouth generated from each and every diner as they leave the restaurant. Whilst the chefs and service staff may be students, their food and service is of the highest possible standard and supervised by industry experts.
Open midweek for lunch & dinner, I have now had the privilege of dining there twice and each time was impressed with all aspects of the experience; from the complimentary cocktail on arrival, to the freshly baked bread roll, right through the meal to dessert. At only $32 for 3 courses the menu is a steal in today's marketplace. The prices remain low as the restaurant (being part of the college) serves its meals and wine at cost price as to not incur profits beyond operational requirements. With $15 bottles of wine usually being marked up to $40 at licensed restaurants; William Blue Dining really delivers the opportunity to sample some excellent drops at cost price to accompany your dining experience. Price per bottle varies from $17 to $45. Utilise the sommelier knowledge of the students and their supervisors to fully experience the luxury of matching each course with a beverage that will complement if not enhance the flavours on the plate.
For each course there are 3 options which change seasonally, do be aware that the website may not have the most current menu so enquire when you make your booking if you have dietary restrictions. Having tasted the prosciutto salad, tempura vegetables, chicken breast with risotto bianco, fillet steak, chocolate truffle mousse cake and lemon tart I can wholeheartedly say that all courses are cooked to perfection, never overdone from the order and the quality of ingredients is exceptional. The staff are perfectly professional; your chair is pulled out, your napkin laid, the tables cleared discreetly, no 'too cool for school' waiters/waitresses here. Some staff are more hesitant than others, however they are all eager to please and demonstrate a high level of pride in their roles. All are sure to go far in the hospitality industry and will help revolutionise the poor perception of Australian customer service.
Open for lunch & dinner Monday to Friday during term times, at only 60 person capacity reservations are highly encouraged and subject to availability. The management highly advocates booking at least 1 week in advance to secure your preferred day and time. Many local businesses utilise the restaurant for client lunches so lunchtime is extremely busy. Private events are encouraged, however will require increased notice. What perfect way to celebrate a special event than with affordable luxury dining!
Perfect for a business lunch, special occasion, or a get-together
