Pah to Plastic
Join the Wildlife Preservation of Queensland for an interesting talk on Tuesday the 24th of April 2018 at 7.30 pm at their new premises Albion Peace Hall, 102 Macdonald Road, Windsor. QLD 4030, UBD 140- C14

Plastic bags on the planet
Plastic bags on the planet

The speaker is Tony Hutcheon and his topic is one which is bound to interest a wide audience: After the bag ban and container refund scheme, what is next?

The ban on plastic bags comes into effect in July 2018 in Queensland. This is a promising start to reducing the huge amounts of plastic in the environment. Toby will identify the next 'disposable' plastic items that need to be dealt with and will explore what is happening to reduce their use and impacts. He will discuss the measures as well as the next step in tackling this scourge on the fauna and the flora of our planet.

Come along and join the conversation and see how you can do your bit for saving the environment. You might be interested to become a member of Wildlife Queensland. They hold a series of free public lectures throughout the year, which always have engaging speakers and topics. This is a free public lecture and everyone is welcome.
