With spring on its way soon enough, experience Sydney at its best. Head to the Wildflower Art and Garden Festival on Sunday 25 August 2019 from 9am to 4pm at the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden, 420 Mona Vale Rd, St Ives (entry off Richmond Road) and be visually saturated by the splendour of the change of season.

Have a little sabbatical and escape from the city to immerse yourself in nature. They say it's good for the soul and can be very healing, so dive in. Enjoy the environmentally themed sculpture walk where artists have used natural or recycled materials in their creations. There are wildlife displays and more, including entertainment and guided tours, so take the whole family and make a day of it. The 50-year-old Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden in St Ives is home to thousands of beautiful native wildflowers. The Garden is at its botanical best each Spring and Australian natives are some of the most striking flowers in the world.

stunning arrangements of wildflower bouquets and posies with waratahs, banksias, gum blossoms, kangaroo paws and the likes in the mix

sculpture walk with work created by talented local artists in the Festival's public art competition

trackless train running all day from the entrance to Caley's Pavilion
