On a recent trip back to Victoria, for my Dad's birthday, I took a trip to Port Albert to eat at the . I had asked my dad what he wanted to do for his birthday and this was what he wanted, so off we went for a trip to the sea.

Wildfish promises diners an unforgettable experience located on the Port Albert waterfront with a menu showcasing local seafood, produce and wine. It is because of the focus on using fresh produce that the menu changes here with the seasons to suit the produce available, ensuring that only the best produce and seafood available is showcased on the menu.

On this particular occasion, the menu had an Asian twist to it with items such as spicy tempura calamari with a rice noodle salad, prawn spring rolls and sesame coated prawns with a ginger sauce all starring on the menu. With so many options on offer, it was hard to decide but in the end, I went with the seafood tasting platter so I could try a little of everything!

And I was very happy with my choice - the baked garfish was my favourite as the fish was not only delicious but the light crunchy topping gave it that much-needed texture. The sesame prawns and the baby octopus were also delicious.

It's clear that Wildish has ticked all the boxes with their restaurant in Port Albert. They have delicious fresh food, excellent service and a beautiful view too, definitely making it worth the two-hour return trip!
