Wilderness Escape provide kids of all ages with valuable team building skills, social encouragement and confidence through their educational and adventure programs, and have a great line up of activities over the April school holidays while the weather is still warm enough to enjoy.

It's a great opportunity to make the most of time off school and take part in some activities that will teach skills for life. With over 27 years experience in outdoor education, Wilderness Escape provide fully qualified and first aid trained leaders, all the equipment necessary, with a high staff ratio and all employees are police checked. There are also different drop off and pick up locations available for parents convenience.

Activities on offer over the school holidays are:

Family Adrenaline Day
Sunday 15th April from 10am to 12:30pm

This family event gets the whole family working together to overcome challenges in rock climbing, abseiling and a 3 person mega swing. The experience is sure to work those belly muscles with so much laughter and is held at Venture Zone, Woodhouse Activity Centre, Piccadilly.

Surfing
Monday 16th April from 8am to 5pm

With learner boards at the ready, this surfing day is a great way to gain confidence in the ocean and develop surfing skills to work towards being a pro! Participants need to be confident swimmers. All equipment, wetsuits, instruction and transport provided.

Cost: $106 per person



Mountain Biking
Thursday 19th April from 8am to 5pm

This popular activity is a great way to learn some off track riding skills, whilst building confidence and keeping fit along some scenic locations on a single track ride. All equipment, helmets, bikes, transport and instruction provided.

Cost: $116 per person



Rock Climbing
Friday 20th April from 8am to 5pm

Rock climbing is a challenging activity, but the skills and ability to achieve some impressive heights is extremely rewarding. With plenty of support and encouragement throughout the day, participants will be able to say they conquered a massive 15-metre rock climb, in one of South Australia's renowned locations. As a warning though, rock climbing can be addictive! All safety equipment, instruction and equipment provided.

Cost: $108 per person



Kayaking Shipwrecks
Monday 23rd April from 8am to 5pm

A great opportunity to enjoy the Port River, with its resident dolphins and tour through the historic ship graveyard. This activity is for all skill levels and will teach confidence on the water and lifetime kayaking skills. All equipment, instruction and transport provided.

Cost: $116 per person



Snorkel the Reef
Tuesday 24th April from 8am to 5pm

This activity is a great way for children to connect with nature and enjoy the whole underwater experience, exploring a different world that isn't normally seen. Port Noarlunga Jetty offers a perfect location for beginners and instruction begins on the beach with the basics such as fitting for snorkels, fins and masks, and the skills needed for the shallow waters. The day is filled with other activities such as fishing and beach games before getting close to the reef and hand feeding some local fish that they will probably be talking about for days! All equipment, instruction and transport provided.

Cost: $106 per person



Douglas Scrub 2 Day Adventure Camp
Thursday and Friday 26th and 27th April from 8am until 5pm

This team building activity held in McLaren Vale teaches valuable group skills whilst making new friends for life. This 2-day event will really bring the group together as they complete the challenging rope course, have fun in some billy carts and assist in camp duties such as cooking, cleaning and general camp activities. All activities, food, accommodation and transport provided.

Cost: $309 per person



Wilderness Escape also offers a range of activites outside of the school holidays for individuals and schools, as well as teacher and leadership courses to provide knowledge into how educational outdoor activities improve children's skills and assist in teaching methods. They also have a range of outdoor equipment to hire if you wanted to organise your own activities.
