If you want to take a look at the zoo from a different perspective, there is no better way than a Wild Nights Package. Stay overnight at the zoo and go to sleep to the call of the gibbons and wake to the roar of the lions. You'll be able to take part in one of the packages during the warm months, and they are fun, educational, and an experience unlike any other you can have in the city centre.

You'll start your experience at 6:15, and you'll be introduced to your sleeping quarters, two people to a tent. You'll have to bring along your own pillow and sleeping bag, but otherwise your safari tents are provided for. You'll be taken on a tour of the Envirodome. You'll not only get to look at some interesting creatures, but the Envirodome is also an educational hub where you'll learn about the work the zoo is doing, and the parallels between the environment and zoology.

After enjoying a gourmet barbecue you'll be taken of a tour of the zoo at night time. You'll see a different side to the animals at night, some may be retiring, while others will just be coming to life. After exploring the zoo you'll head back to your tents at 11pm, ready for some special breakfasts in the morning.

When you've enjoyed your own continental breakfast you'll then go see some of the most entertaining residents get their feed, the meerkats. You'll get get to feed them their breakfast and watch them eat. The Panda and Friends tour is a free addition to the package, usually $130 per person, and you'll see the red pandas get their morning feed and spot the giant pandas as they make their way into their day enclosure.

As your late night zoo experience wraps up you'll then have the whole day to explore the zoo on your own. See all the animals during the day, and keep in mind all your newfound knowledge you learnt on your night tour. There are plenty of animal experiences that you can have during the day if you want to add even more to your day at the zoo. The package costs $350 for a non members tent, and $300 for a members tent, each holding 2 persons. Join others on the Wild Nights Package, or with a minimum of 12 visitors you can have a private night with the animals.
