If you are hearing the call of the wild and can see yourself on a safari sleeping amongst the sounds of wild animals, then is a great way to see if you can survive the wild in a safe environment.

Wild Nights are available throughout the warmer months and available dates are at the website . At the slumber party of all slumber parties, you will:

1. stay in a two person tent on the rooftop garden overlooking the Zoo;
2. get up close on an animal encounter;
3. enjoy a BBQ dinner and continental breakfast (dietary requirements are catered for); and
4. explore the zoo on a night safari.

After your night in the wild you will be treated to a Panda and Friends Behind the Scenes experience where you will tour the Bamboo Forest and see the red pandas enjoy their breakfast and Wang Wang and Fu Ni welcome the day.

You will need to have a moderate level of fitness to be able to participate in all activities.

Children must be accompanied by a supervising parent with no more than 3 children to one adult. Wheelchair facilities and toilets are available but this is a wild experience therefore no power points!

On your adventure you will arrive at 6.15 pm after which you will undertake activities and have dinner. Lights out is at 11 pm when you will get to experience the sounds of the animals throughout the night and wake up at 7 am for breakfast. You will need to bring with you pillows and a sleeping bag, toiletries (showers are limited), wet weather gear (this is an all weather experience), linens and towels, a torch and closed shoes. Your experience will finish at 11 am, however you can stay for the remainder of the day in the zoo and take advantage of a 10% discount on full price products in the zoo shop.

Wild Nights are family friendly events and available for ages 6 and up.

Cost is $380 for a two person tent (general public) or $330 for zoo members. If you want to bring the whole family a $50 discount applies on the second tent booked. Further information is available at the Adelaide Zoo website , where bookings can also be made.

Parking is limited around the zoo, with some available around Plane Tree Drive. Please see the Botanic Gardens website to ascertain if nearby parking is appropriate for you.
