Wild Lands

Arts Project Australia is a not-for-profit organisation based in Northcote, which provides support for artists with intellectual disabilities. The organisation assists with professional guidance, materials and studio and exhibition space. Artists involved with Arts Project are promoted on a broad contemporary spectrum and represented in mainstream art exhibitions and events.

The works of artists Chris Mason, Bronwyn Hack, Dionne Canzano, Michael Camakaris, Matthew Gove and Ruth Howard explore the theme of exotic and wild animals from around the world. The exhibition will feature both paper and ceramic artworks, which interpret the beauty of animals and nature.

Running alongside Wild Lands, will be Leith Maguire's solo exhibition, Heads or Tails? Maguire combines her love of nature and artistic talents to explore the relationship we have with native Australian flora and fauna. Maguire practices ink-on-paper in a way which sees her wildlife drawings spring to life on the walls of gallery spaces.

Both exhibitions will officially open on the evening of Thursday 5 May, and will run from 6 May until 17 July, 2016.
