Event: -
By multi award-winning sculptors, Mela Cooke & Peter Steller
Sculptor, Mela Cooke, whose work has recently been exhibited in London, Brussels and Hong Kong, has after many years now settled with her love of bronze, and her love of figurative work. Being a former physiotherapist, it is immediately appreciated when looking at her figurative sculptures that her hands have developed a unique intuition, to not only capture the graceful movement of the human body but also that of the animal kingdom. Her figurative sculptures convey the character and personality of her subjects with a simplicity of line and honesty of form.

Sculptor, Peter Steller turns salvaged timber into Art with creations that he continuously challenges himself as he pushes the boundaries! With some forms only a few millimetres thin, he uses the natural lines of the grain to enhance and transform each piece into a unique sculpture. It is the wood however, that ultimately guides and determines the final outcome of his sculptures, as the internal beauty within the salvaged wood is revealed, making each sculpture a unique individual piece.

The exhibition is in conjunction with "Living Legends" by Laura Smith, a portrait artist.

The exhibition will be attended most days by all three artists who will be available to meet and discuss their work. Free parking is available on site at Urban Paradise Gallery.
