Traditional Indian food with a contemporary twist
An interesting modern Indian dining experience in Mona Vale!

Ambience

Wild Clove is based at Mona Vale in the Northern Beaches of Sydney. They use fresh ingredients to make traditional Indian food favourites with a contemporary twist! The decor is sleek and unassuming with a few traditional pictures and mirrors on the walls. We had walked in quite early in the evening just after the restaurant had opened for dinner service so had the place to ourselves, but not long after the takeaway and deliveries had started, and there were a few other walk in diners too. The service was friendly with special attention given to our preferences and I was assured that the dishes were vegan friendly!

The menu seems to cover dishes from all around India and the counter manager also mentioned that they had cooking classes on certain Saturday mornings!

Onion Fritters

We ordered their famous onion fritters as starters. I ordered a vegetable Biriyani and some vegetable Parathas and Naans which arrived swiftly. Accompanying drinks were a lime bitter for myself and their popular Mango Lassi for the little ones.

They also have a kids menu available even though we ended up ordering from the main menu. Wild Clove also has a sizeable dessert menu that looked interesting but, we were too full with all the delicious food we had eaten by then.

Vegetable Paratha

Certainly recommended for a modern take on traditional Indian food if stopping by the beaches for dinner. The food was fresh, delicious and half eaten by the time I remembered to take a picture!
