City of Marion Libraries is celebrating Library Lovers Day, on Thursday, 14 February 2019, with a free seminar titled 'Why Read Novels' being held from 1.30pm until 2.30pm in Marion Cultural Centre's Sturt Room. Registration is via Eventbrite.

'Why Read Novels?' will feature Flinders University PhD candidate, Todd Dearing who will focus on discussing the philosophy of literature and findings from a recent Macquarie University study on the reasons why Australians read and how these findings relate to society's experience of novel reading. Attendees will be provided with a free show bag and the opportunity to fill the show bag with books from the library's Adopt-a-Book display.
