The Whittlesea Agricultural society is one of the oldest in the country and the annual Whittlesea Show celebrates all the wonderful work that is done throughout the year. Join in the fun at the Whittlesea Showgrounds, on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 November 2019 for the 160th annual show.



Located on the edge of where country meets suburbia, the show brings a little bit of country life to city folk, with a wide range of displays of many different aspects of livestock, agriculture, machinery and crafts.



As well as showcasing the best of rural Victoria, the show includes a huge variety of displays, activities, agricultural competitions and demonstrations, including:

Cattle, Horses, Poultry, Sheep and Lambs
Fun Dog Show - heaps of prizes to be won
Educational Displays
Family Fun & Games
Woodchop Events
Farm & Garden Produce
Food Expo showcasing alternative and local produce
Historical Displays
Crafts, Cookery & Horticulture
Motor Cycles
Trade Exhibits
Show Jumping Championships
Free Stage Coach Rides
Vintage Engines & Farm Equipment



The loveable and interactive animal nursery is always popular with young and old and will be filled with cute and cuddly animals. Watch a milking display, pat a piglet, say hello to goats, calves, ponies and sheep or cuddle a fluffy duckling or chicken. Great photo opportunities and memories to cherish.



Of course, it wouldn't be a country show without carnival rides and show bags galore, so there will be plenty of those as well.

Don't miss the horse and stud cattle parade at 3:00pm on both days to see who will be crowned as best in show.



Roving entertainers will keep you laughing, dancing and singing along and there will be a wide range of food stalls to keep you satisfied and going throughout the day.

Don't miss independent country artists Carter & Carter (Merelyn & David) who have been wowing audiences for 15 years now and will be performing on both days.

Adults - $20.00
Concession (must provide proof) - $15.00
Children 6 to 14 years - $5.00
Children under 6 - FREE
Family Pass (2 Adults and up to 4 Children 6-14) - $45.00



Whittlesea is approximately 40km north-east of Melbourne and getting to the show is easy. If you're driving from Melbourne, travel north along Plenty Road until you come to the township of Whittlesea and follow the signs. Alternatively travel north along High Street to either Donnybrook Road, Grants Road or Janna Rd. The Showgrounds are on your left approximately 1km from the centre of the town - on Yea Road.
