The
Whittlesea Show is a real country show with lots of free attractions and entertainment. It's all happening over the weekend of
2-3 November 2024 from 9am to 5pm daily. Head to the Whittlesea Showgrounds, 30 Yea Rd, Whittlesea to enjoy a day of food, fun, rides, attractions, displays, exhibits, entries and market stalls with something for all ages at one of the biggest
Agricultural Shows around. Get your
tickets here to attend. Children under 4 years of age go free, and children 4 and above, up to 14 years pay $5 for entry. Ages 15-17 secondary students pay $15, with adults 18+ paying $25 and $18 for concessions - plus booking fee. These are single day entry prices. Public parking is available at the showgrounds for a gold coin donation, and dogs are welcome, but must be on leads. Please read all the T&Cs on the ticketing page.

The Alpaca Young Paraders Competition - it's only happening on the Saturday of the show. A major attraction of the show, if sheep are what you're interested in - to walk amongst the sheep and speak to their handlers; it's only happening on the Sunday. The
Facebook page has lots of interesting content, plus an invite to a 'working bee' as you can see from the poster below. If you'd like to volunteer, give them a call, and they'll provide you with breakfast and lunch for the day - eg

Animal Nursery - Cute photo opportunities and opportunities to feed different animals.
Food Expo - Find them on the north hill to sit, relax and enjoy an array of specialist food vendors.
Free Attractions - Free for the whole family to enjoy. There's Circus, stilt divas, roving performers, show jumping, boot throw, reptile display, and lots and lots more, including fun and games and competitions.
Heritage - The Heritage Paviion will take you back in time to see working examples of historical machinery and early farming practices. A working blacksmith will be demonstrating some of the skills set required.
Hobby Farm Livestock - Cuteness overload with Pygmy goats, miniature Mediterranean donkeys and Valais blacknose sheep and more. Meet the breeders face to face and learn about hobby livestock care and needs.
Do something different, get back to country adventures and head to the show for fun times, and introducing future generations to a bird's eye view of how it was.
