Jam packed with even more fun, the Whitehorse Community Fair rides into town on Easter Saturday 31 March 2018 from 10am to 3pm at Kingswood College, 355 Station St, Box Hill South. Entry to this event is free.
The Whitehorse Community Train Ride will be making its debut this year, so be sure to hop on and enjoy the fair like never before. Please keep in mind that tokens are used for carnival games, rides and food. Vendors will not be taking cash. Beat the queues and buy fair tokens online. Taking advantage of the fact that its Easter Saturday, there'll be an Easter Egg hunt every hour! Starting at 11am, there'll be tons of Easter Eggs to be found in designated locations, so kids, keep your eyes peeled for some chocolate goodness. That's not all the kids have to look forward to. There's a large range of affordable activities for them to enjoy, such as the ocean slide, kids train, animal farm, face painting, carnival games and prizes and more. Children's superstar Bethany Fisher will be back on the community stage, along with wow moves by street rappers and cultural dancers.
For entertainment throughout the day, you have singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, pop/rock artist Ellery Cohen performing some of his greatest hits at the fair, including his latest single 'Far Too Long'. Wendy Samantha Productions , a drama school based in Balwyn, has an amazing show lined up for you too. The talented team will perform a variety of scenes from your favourite musicals.
Paper Giants are a three-piece rock band who are set to take the Melbourne music scene by storm. You can enjoy their pop roc sounds that meld with heartfelt uplifting lyrics and catchy anthems at the Fair. As you wander enjoying all the fair has to offer, you may catch the aroma of Asian delicacies circulating through the air.
Some of your favourite dishes are back, and there'll be a wonderful selection of home-style Asian food that includes Char Kuey Teow, Nasi Lemak, Assam Laska, Chicken Rice, Prawn Noodles, curry puffs, coal grilled Satay, Ice Kachang, Teh Tarik, plus lots of hot and cold drinks and desserts.
