Enrolment is now open for Term 2 Beginner Courses. Suitable for ages 12 and up. Book now to avoid disappointment.

The Whitehorse Chevaliers invite all to learn and participate in the sport of fencing, whether it is for fun, to improve fitness or serious competition. All classes are held in a friendly and supportive learning environment and beginners are always welcome.

Classes wil be held in two convenient locations:

  • Saturday mornings, 9 am - 10:30 am - Nunawading

  • Tuesday evenings, 7 pm - 8:30 pm - Mitcham
  • If you are new to fencing, have only limited experience, or returning after a long absence, then a beginner class is the best place to start.

This class is aimed at teens and adults and runs for 6 weeks. The Saturday morning course at Nunawading can also be completed by parents and children together, with a class for ages 7-12 running in the same timeslot.

Over 90 minutes experienced coaches teach the basics of fencing with the Epee and the Sabre and there is an opportunity for practice on the piste. Equipment is provided and cleaned after each class.

Bookings are now open - choose from:

  • 7:00 pm to 8.30 pm, Tuesday evenings from 26 April to 31 May at St John's Primary School, Durkin Hall. Price: $90 ($15 per 90 minute session).
