Stand up to violence - attend the White Ribbon Day Breakfast
White Ribbon Day Breakfast, Domestic Violence

White Ribbon is the world's largest movement of men and boys working to end violence against women and girls, promote gender equality, healthy relationships and a new vision of masculinity.

To help increase awareness of this important cause, the Queensland Government will hold the fourth annual White Ribbon Day Breakfast on Tuesday 20 November 2018 at the Plaza Ballroom, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Kay McGrath OAM will MC the morning. She will lead a panel of Queensland domestic violence advocates, as they explore how culture and community attitudes inform the decisions of those who witness domestic violence. The panel will also give practical advice on how we, as a community, can challenge attitudes and beliefs and take safe and considered action to prevent violence in all forms.

Panellists include:

Faiza El-Higzi, Board Director, Queensland Council for Social Services
Vanessa Fowler, Chair, The Allison Baden-Clay Foundation
Steve Gollschewski APM, Deputy Commissioner, Queensland Police Service
Randal Ross, Co-founder and Senior Facilitator, Red Dust Healing Pty Ltd
Shaan Ross-Smith, Director, MATE Program, Griffith University and Chair, DVConnect.
