Fall down the rabbit hole to White Rabbit Cocktail Room and you'll enter a world of cocktails, tiny treats and sharply dressed bartenders. It's a classy place no matter the occasion, but if you're on the hunt for something to do on a special occasion, the White Rabbit cocktail class offers a bit of education that's as tasty as it is fun.
Cocktail classes can be booked for groups with a minimum of 10 guests and they're a perfect activity for celebrations like birthdays or hens days. You're not whisked away to a room hidden out the back, the fun happens out the front. Lined up along the wooden bar, the bartenders will run you through a few tricks of the trade. There's the equipment you'll need for a good cocktail, the essential ingredients, and the techniques to pull it all off.
The first part of the class is pure demonstration followed by some drinking. Bartenders will whip up three signature cocktails for each guest, with a detailed look at how they're made, what you'll need to make them, and a bit of history for some fun facts. It's even fun for the non-drinkers, who can still participate with an equally tasty range of mocktails.
The class is $60 per person, and this includes a mid-session high tea platters. Think canapes, cupcakes, tarts and generous cheese boards. You won't worry about anyone going hungry. While food being served guests will be lead behind the bar individually to craft the final cocktail of their choice. Think of your favourite flavours or tastes and let the bartender make a suggestion, or pick a particular cocktail you'd love to master. Whether you're after something sweet and fruity, or something a little more sophisticated, the bartenders will guide you down the right path.
To take part, guests must be over the age of 18 or accompanied by their parent or guardian at all time. Minors are allowed to take part, but they'll obviously be sticking to the mocktails instead. The cocktails are fun, and they're obviously tasty, but it's the personality and skill of the bartenders that really make this a must-do activity.
