White Mountains is a national park in Torrens Creek, Queensland on the Flinders Highway, about 295 km t of Townsville and 80 km north-east of Hughenden. On National Parks Day 2010, the Queensland State Government announced the addition of 4,200 hectares to the park. Burra Range lookout is on the Flinders Highway and is accessible to conventional vehicles.

From this lookout, you can see the rugged wilderness features spectacular white sandstone bluffs and gorges, and diverse native plants, such as Melaleuca that flower during winter. The park protects 14 different ecosystems in the Desert Uplands bioregion, making it one of inland Queensland's most botanically diverse parks. Lancewood forests, open woodlands, laterite pastures, heathlands and spinifex grasslands are spotted around the white sandstone outcrops and sand dunes throughout the park.

There is a small picnic table under cover and a small sign board that explain more about White Mountains National Park. There are no wheelchair-accessible tracks or facilities here.
