Honouring those who had lost their lives whilst driving

Designed by Tailem Bend driver Keith Wood, the White Hill Truck Drivers Memorial honours truckies who had lost their lives whilst driving across South Australia. Over a hundred names are currently being commemorated on its walls.

An annual event, held every first Saturday in November, starts with a memorial service followed by a family fun day, to provide an avenue for sharing memories as well as to raise awareness of road safety. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the event will not go ahead this year. However, a 2021 calendar with truck photos sent in by the general public will be available. Keep an eye out for it on their Facebook page if you're interested in purchasing a copy.

Dedicated on the 23rd of November 2013, the memorial is located at the start of Callington Spur Trail on Adelaide Road in Murray Bridge, not far from Kinchina Conservation Park. You will find it standing proudly on your right as you enter the township.
