I heart South Australia - we have it all!

I enjoyed a memorable meal at the award winning White Dove Thai Restaurant, located in picturesque Port Noarlunga.

We went for dinner and although now that the sun sets quite early on us and we miss out on sunset views for a 7:30pm dinner reservation, the location did not disappoint. It is situated right on the esplanade and waves could be seen and heard crashing in the moonlight as we entered the restaurant.

Set within a large, beautiful early 1900s home, complete with wrap-around verandahs and high ceilings, the restaurant has unique touches throughout.

Our host was extremely attentive and made us laugh from the moment we sat down. Having travelled in Thailand, it was lovely to experience the familiar mix of casual banter and warm service that she provided.

The menu provides excellent coverage of the many different typical Thai dishes one could expect. As a vegetarian, there were plenty of options for me, including vegetarian entrees. The vegetarian samosa as an entree were exceptional.

The drinks menu is equally as varied and it was wonderful to wash down the spicy meal with a bottle of ice cold Singha.

The restaurant is in the entertainment book, so if you choose to book, definitely take along a voucher - you can get up to $30 off of your bill.

They also offer a combined movie and dinner offer for the local cinema at Wallis Cinemas at Noarlunga.

The restaurant has a website, so you can find out further information here. There are also sister restaurants in Adelaide and Mclaren Vale.

The restaurant is open from 5pm until late every day except Thursday.
