Proving that wine is more about community than consumption, have released their annual program of special events for 2015 that encourage fun, family and laughter. With eight main events, the Pfeiffer family are putting on a real treat for everybody in 2015.

Australia Day (26th January 2015)

What could be more Australian than a BBQ and a thong throwing competition to celebrate our country and our feats. And by thong the crew at Whistlers mean the Australian thong that is worn on the feet, not the American one worn elsewhere. Children both young and old are entertained on this day with various fun activities, as well as the traditional live music and great food.

Wine down with Lichinga (8th March 2015)

David and Annette Blackett and their family have been donating their time and talents to raise funds and awareness of The Child's Place in Lichinga, Mozambique. On Sunday 8th March they will be holding a fundraising day at to assist in this very worthy cause.

Come along and listen to music by The Valley Cats, enjoy foccacia's from the kitchen or a sausage sizzle from the BBQ, check out the handcrafted jewellery & crafts from Africa and sit back with a glass of and soak up the atmosphere.

Easter Sunday (5th April 2015)

On Easter Sunday will be providing plenty of food, wine, music and activities for the children including horse and cart rides, craft activities and of course Easter is all about Easter egg hunts and Easter Bunny. 2014 saw the introduction of helicopter rides for all - what will be in store for 2015 ?

Barossa Vintage Festival (16th April and 17th April 2015)

Flamboyant food radical Duncan Welgemoed teams up with the Whistler family to take you on a unforgettable journey. Drawing on their passion for terrior, the earth and the seasons with a quirky twist; the next generation of the Whistler team along with head chef and owner of Adelaide restaurant Africola present a different take on the traditional vintage lunch feast.

From vineyard to cellar via the table join them for an engaging 4 course dining experience matched to selected wines from the cellar. Tickets are only $120 and can be purchased through their online store .

Stew and Shiraz (7th June 2015)

Held on the Sunday of the June long weekend, come rain (the marquees on standby just in case) or shine, this is a great way for the entire family to enjoy the company of friends over a glass of wine and a bowl of stew. Last year's event saw around 1000 people join by the fire with a bowl of stew and glass of Whistler Shiraz. And don't forget your dancing shoes as they always manage to have entertainment from some of the amazing local line ups.

Barossa Gourmet Weekend (15th and 16th August 2014)

A fantastic day of food and wine in the family friendly environment with a craft tent for the kids and carriage rides (weather permitting). Specially prepared food in conjunction with local produce and local wines ensure a great day is held by all. Further details and prices will be released during the year and displayed on the Barossa Gourmet website .

Pfeiffer Festival (4th October 2015)

And for those who haven't heard by now, is owned and operated by the Pfeiffer family and each year they like to have a big celebration around their birthday. With food trucks coming up from Adelaide plus local live musicians, the party kicks on long in to the afternoon.

Wine down (22nd November 2015)

The silly season is just around the corner, but not here at . The final event of the year is a chance to let down the hair, dance to some contemporary themes, enjoy a bite from some chosen food trucks and indulge in some wine and ice cream from the Barossa Valley Ice Cream Company. A great way to finish a year of great events.
