is a tasting festival inside a fire garden. It will feature the makers of some of the country's most renowned whisky and wine. Great idea on a winter night in Melbourne!
Suppliers of food and produce, as well as the restaurants, will cook using fire as both heat and theatre. This will result in smoked meats, heirloom beets and winter feasting! This will celebrate small producers and notable brands who deliver fine produce like no other.
also features talks by leading wine and whisky makers. Here you will enjoy music by the roaring fire whilst drinking hot spirits and indulging in a gourmet feast. And all this whilst surrounded by incredible fire sculptures.
The event will be held over four winter nights in various precincts around the Caulfield Racecourse. Cost of tickets for adults is $15 online or $20 at the gate, and your ticket includes souvenir Whisky, Wine and Fire glass and complimentary wine sample on arrival (proof of ID is required).
Once you are inside the event, you can purchase tastes, glasses and fabulous food from all the various producers involved in Whisky Wine and Fire.
[b]THE WHISKY**
This event celebrates Whisky at its "core". They will be from boutique Melbourne distillers to some of the world's most iconic brands. You can experience what makes a whisky unique - it could be fermented from barley, corn, rye or wheat. It could be aged in several different way, and whether you know anything about whisky or not, you will enjoy and discover new things.

[b]THE WINE**
At this event, you will be able to see and taste some of Australia's best wines available. There will be samples from some of the country's most recognised wineries and regions - in fact, there will be so many, you will have a hard time choosing! There will also be some interesting mulled wine available to warm [i]"the cockles of your heart"[/i].

[b]THE FIRE**
There will be a fabulous fire garden with a collection of large and small scale fire installations. There will be warming fire pits and more right through to towering fire sculptures. These pieces of art will conjure up a sense of a Winter Solstice and will keep you nice and warm.
[b]THE FOOD**
Nothing says winter like meat which has been done on a charcoal barbecue as well as other treats. The food cooked by fire here will celebrate local produce cooked using the power of fire. There will be things like Argentinian inspired meats, whole roasted pig, big smokers and charcoaled sides. Are you drooling yet?
The food providers include:
Farmer's Daughters - Here you will get fresh, seasonal produce, country grown meats and fermented and cured home-made elements. They focus on traditional cooking techniques like open fire cooking, including a custom-made portable pit which they will use to slow cook a whole grass-fed lamb.
Burn City Smokers - their food comes from a "passion for ingredients" of quality, and they believe in the ethical practices of the people who farmed the meat they use.
Hoy Pinoy - the food from these people is cooked fresh on-site immediately before serving. The seasoning and spices are from the Philippines.
Glace Frozen - these are frozen artisan pastries with a bit of international flair.

[b]MUSIC AND MASTERCLASSES**
From blues to bluegrass, folk and country rock, you will enjoy some of Melbourne's great local bands and performing artists. This is also your opportunity to discover and learn with the masterclasses and talks from many of the Whisky and Wine producers.

The event will be held at the Caulfield Racecourse, via the Main Gate (Gate 23), Station Street, Caulfield East.

There are no ATM's on the grounds, however, all merchants accept EFTPOS/credit cards. It is a "cashless" event.
The event is open to all ages, however, only over 18 can drink here.
