It's round II of lockdown and most of you probably have already sourced out your favourite takeaway coffee/tea shop during round I. So, let's create a list of local coffee shops that are open for takeaway, so we can all support small businesses to keep them strong.

My favourite is Merlo Coffee at Queen Victoria Market on Peel St. Open daily, except Monday and Wednesday, from 6:30am to 1pm, the staff here always have a smile on their face and are happy to have a friendly light-hearted chat while you wait for your caffeine fix.

Coffee beans are roasted fresh daily. My choice? Always a double shot espresso which is smooth and bold. The usual coffee selection (latte, mocha, cappuccino, long/short blacks, and more) is offered, and they have regular, soy and almond milk.

Start your day right Merlo Coffee is winning with quality, customer service, and environmentally sustainable packaging.
