Where to Spend New Year's Eve in Canberra 2016/17

New Year's Eve is creeping up on us and it is time to think about where we would like to spend the last night of 2016. A highlight for many people is New Year's Eve in the City, which is an event held in the city centre with two free concerts and firework displays. There is a family friendly concert at Civic Square before the 9pm fireworks, then a dance party at Garema Place after the 9pm fireworks all the way to the midnight firework display (see website here for more details). For others who would prefer to do something a little different, there are other New Year's Eve celebrations planned around the city so revellers can get together with friends, celebrate with a meal and watch the midnight fireworks from afar. Following are just some of the many events that are happening around the Capital on New Year's Eve - so put the champagne on ice, put Uber onto your phone and enjoy the celebrations and festive beats of NYE, 2017.
