Some sushi trains can seem like a rip off in comparison to others. It is easy to spend $20 on sushi before you know it, especially due to the fresh sushi rolls screaming out for you to eat them along the 'train.' So in that case, where is Sydney's cheapest sushi train?

After much soul searching I came across a cheap (yet quality) sushi train along Oxford Street in Darlinghurst, and the great news is that this establishment is only a stone's throw away from Hyde Park. For many people this equates to spending time in the best of both worlds.

The name of this establishment is called Shobu Japanese Restaurant, and all of their sushi trains are around $2.50, so that even beats the price of the Sushi Train at Event Cinema's on George Street where each plate is $3.30 off hand.

Furthermore, you are eating in more chic and trendy ambience at Shobu. Keeping with the red and black combination; the red seats are fairly comfortable to sit on; and their salmon and avocado sushi in particular is divine and flavoursome yet filling.

What do you think? Where is Sydney's cheapest sushi train? Looking forward to your input on this one.

Shobu in Darlinghurst satisfied my need of a delicious, healthy chicken noodle soup after being doubtful of finding something suitable and reasonably priced.

Top level at Haymarket is pretty cheap. With parking card u can get a discount to $2.50/plate.
Also the one in Hurstville Westfield offer $3/plate.but its variety is very limited
