We went for a drive in the Belair National Park and this vintage party caught my eye. There I sat down with the lady who put all this together for her daughter's 18th birthday party. I'm so happy that she gave me permission to take some snaps of her party setup and post on the internet. Her vintage party was so beautiful that it's worth sharing with Weekend Notes readers. Personally, I have been pondering where I am going to hold an 18 or 21 years old party at home with a tiny house & a tiny backyard. This venue, Karka Pavillion at the Belair National Park, could be the answer.

The central point of this vintage party was a photo booth with vintage dress up. Two marquees were setup with lots of lace curtains & a nostalgic scene. Costume, jewellery, props and masks completed the set.

With such beautiful lawns, games like bocce, croquet, quoits & even badminton will entertain your guests for hours.

If the weather is not good, the hall included in the venue hire will be your Plan B. It was such beautiful weather that day that the host only used it for catering. There is a basic kitchen inside the hall and lots of benches and some trestle tables, so no need to bring your own which is terrific.

Adding some bunting and lanterns will let everyone know that your party is here. This bunting was handmade by the party host with beautiful map fabrics from Spotlight and doilies from op-shops. I wish I had a talented mum like her when I was 18. She handmade everything and ordered all the game sets from eBay.

According to the party host, this venue is also very popular for weddings. She booked this place 6 months in advance. If this location ticks all your boxes for your party needs, book early. I had a look #belair %20National%20Park">online and it was booked out on weekends for the next 2 months. The venue hire costs $235 for the whole day. Add another $265 if you want to pay for all guest vehicle entries. If this is not your budget, there are other picnic grounds with a lower fee in the Belair National Park that is worth considering.
Regarding all your vintage party needs, there are a few places in Adelaide that offer everything from furniture and décor to styling services for hire to help you have the best vintage party without the work. They include Vintage Scene Hire , Old Refinery , By the Oak Tree and Paper Carousel .

Are you inspired to hold your own vintage party? Where will you hold your party? What will you include? Will you DIY or hire someone else? I'm curious to know.
