Your guide to the best of Adelaide this May
The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting cooler but that doesn't stop Adelaide's vibrant culture from shining on. There's plenty on all around SA but if you're looking for events in the city, here's some of the best things to see and do in Adelaide in May.
First and foremost, don't forget Mother's Day. There's a wide range of events happening around Adelaide that you can surprise and spoil your Mum with this Mother's Day. You can enjoy a high tea at The Intercontinental or Glen Ewin Estate and for the wild mums, Monarto Zoo!
You could buy Mum a handmade gift! There'll be heaps of markets on around Adelaide in time for Mother's Day including the Blackwood Market in the south, or the One Tree Hill Market in the north and there's two more in this article!
As far as the rest of the month goes, there's a brand new market in the west, a festival for kids, unique food and wine experiences and a great concert. Read on for the details.
Part of the DreamBIG Children's Festival, the North Terrace Cultural precinct hosts a wide range of kid's activities like nature play, interactive garden displays, silent disco walking tours and outdoor stages with plenty of entertainment! Get more details here.

A magical and immersive lighting installation created by Patch Theatre's new Artistic Director, Geoff Cobham, and his long-time collaborator Chris Petridis. This timeless piece is an inspiration for all ages. The fireflies leave trails of ever-changing ember coloured light. Come and sit beneath them and be transported to another time and place. Details.
Million Paws Walk
When: Sunday 19th May
Where: Victoria Park
Entry: $27 - $30 Adults, $13 - $18 Child. Family $27 online in advance, $70 on the day.
Families and their furry friends should join the RSPCA and other dog owners from all across town on Sunday 19th May at a new Million Paws Walk location in Victoria Park. Million Paws Walk events will also be held at six other regional locations around South Australia. Register now to take part in the biggest day out on the doggy calendar! Funds raised will help care for the 10,000 animals who enter RSPCA South Australia's care every year.
After the walk, you can enjoy the dog village which will be bigger and better than ever with new experiences for you and your furry friend. It will be filled with tons of fun activities including entertainment, food stalls, doggy games and free pet advice. Click here for details.
Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back in Concert

The Adelaide Marathon has attracted over 30,000 entrants since the inaugural year and we can't wait to share the journey with you in 2019.

Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend
