Winter in the East End allows you to experience three of the East End's cosy lane ways like never before. Gather around warm log fires and enjoy fine food and wine while listening to live music Friday and Saturday nights until 24th August (closed 2nd and 3rd August)
Pinot Palooza

Pinot Palooza is the world's biggest pinot festival and lands at Harts Mill this August. Get set for all-inclusive wine tastings and fabulous food. Syrian Mobile Disco brings the good time music vibes, so be ready for an epic afternoon of wine tasting and fun.
Adelaide - Huge Indoor Plant Warehouse Sale
When: 10th and 11th August
Where: Queens Theatre

The Queens Theatre once again hosts a winter edition of this hugely popular indoor plant sale. Come along to find something perfect for inside your home. The Queens Theatre is ideally located in the city on the corner of Playhouse Lane and Gilles Arcade.

Salisbury Writers' Festival

Cost: Free
The Salisbury Writers' Festival has been a great supporter of local writers. The program always offers something for everyone from creative to professional and this year it will be held from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th August.

Gawler Show

Where: Gawler Showgrounds, Nixon Terrace, Gawler

The Gawler Show is South Australia's largest country show and celebrates 163 years of shows at the Gawler Showgrounds this August. This show has all the stuff a good country show should have along with showbags, rides and sideshows for everyone. Get out and experience a volunteer run, not-for-profit, authentic country show this August.
SALA Festival
When: 1st - 31st August
Where: All over Adelaide

Royal Adelaide Show
When: 30th August - 8th Sept
Where: Wayville Showgrounds
Cost: Adult $24.50, Child $15.50. Family and concession tickets available.

Adelaide's biggest and best show is held annually at the Wayville showgrounds and draws tens of thousands of visitors. Experience the best of the country in the city. There's craft and animal judging, farmyard experiences for the kids, expo style displays and of course plenty of entertainment including rides, sideshows, showbags and centre oval entertainment with nightly fireworks displays.
