27 May 2018 – May 5 Lands Experience ft Yetti Calzone and Fundraiser for Roje

The 5 Lands Band is a well-known local band who have been performing around the Central Coast for approximately 10 years. What is unique for this band is that they do not practise or write songs together; they create improvised jams based on funk, folk, jazz and groove music. With this in mind, the dance floor is always jam-packed with dancers.

Featured act for the evening is Yetti Calzone . Yetti has been playing around New South Wales at festivals such as Sounds of the Suburbs and Rabbits Eat Lettuce as well as supporting other well-known artists - Caravana Sun, OKA and King Tide.

Along with the above, The Hut is running a fundraiser in May for local poet Roje. Roje was born in Congo and migrated with his family to Australia when he was 12 years of age. It was at this time that he commenced his formal education and learnt English. Roje has performed "Spoken Word" at the Australian Poetry Slam Newcastle Heats, Art Bender, SpeakUP, Bankstown Poetry Slam and Poetic Justice at Avondale College.

The above is an amazing line-up for May and events you will not want to miss. To learn more about the artists, follow The Rhythm Hut's Facebook or website.
