Summer marks the start of the Quiet Time in York. The morning air is cool & full of bird song. The days - warm & lazy. Free from the city's glow our star-studded sky is awe-inspiring.
Every season is so different in York & the landscape no less beautiful. Warren Gibson's photographic art of an Old Farm Shearing Shed captures the essence of December in York - a great time for a day trip or a relaxing weekend away.
The Flour Mill Emporium is a collective of 20 artists & artisans working together at the Old York Mill, plus an eclectic collection of antiques, vintage & collectables.
On Saturday 14th December from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, you can
Meet The Makers Working In Residence! Every month, the public has a special opportunity to meet local York artists. Come along and discuss their inspirations and processes and view a unique showcase of their arts, crafts and wares.
"Symphony," a lovely painting by Beverley Artist Gracie Courtney & handcrafted macrame’s by Ailsa.
"Good Morning From Jarrah & Marri Forest," a wonderful painting of Western Australian native flora & fauna, oil on canvas by John Kaye.
Alessia's pretty hand-painted bottles, Ken’s ceramic flowers & Kaz's quirky embellished bird make heartfelt gifts for someone you love at Christmas time.
Two of our Whimsical Girls. Pam is our Mosaic Queen of lizard & bird baths, pots & wall plaques. Ailsa is our very multitalented Whimsical Girl & creator of many a varied thing.
Our Man Of Wood, John, truly understands the nature of our Western Australian timbers, always working with the wood, not against it, to create these amazing spoons.
Our Bird Man Mike paints Birds on planters & framed works on canvas or paper. All of his birds are original one-offs & thoughtfully priced for the art of gift-giving.
Noongar Artist, Julie Thomas has an imaginative mind & a generous spirit that infuses her dot artworks & makes them truly uniquely Julie's.
