QVM (Queen Victoria Market) at the corner of Queen and Therry Streets, Melbourne, is renowned for its year-round multicultural festivals and events, and here are a few to look forward to from 23 September to 15 October 2023 and beyond, on top of their recurring events. Be sure to put the dates in your diary for all the ones you'd love to attend, and click on the links for more information.

  • 19, 21, 26 & 28 Sep 10am-2pm C Shed - Spring School Holiday Activities - Fun times for the kids with free interactive and fun activities with no bookings required. There's an eco-system riverscape where the little ones will discover native animals along the riverbank and more, like the Animal Cubed, a giant puzzle challenge featuring the artwork of 6 unique Australian native animals. Don't forget to pick up the Kids Passport on the way in to complete, to claim a prize.
  • 22 Sep 10ak-12pm F Shed, Stall 17-18 - Sticktoria! at the Purpose Precinct . This is a ticketed event ($20), and you can book here to attend . Come along and give the humble stick new life with a merry stack of Sticklers - a group of artists, makers and sticksmiths.
  • Sat & Sun 23-24 Sep 9am to 4pm C-D Shed - Mid-Autumn Moon Festival - This is a massive two day event of thanksgiving and celebrating the harvest. You'll find traditional mooncakes and sizzling street food from a range of cuisines, cultural performances, live music and interactive activities. See Here for complete information about the event.


  • 27 Sep-25 Oct 5pm to 10pm Wed Nights Only - Europa Night Market - A smorgasbord of classic European Street Food with themed nights eg. Italian, Bavarian, French Provincial, Iberian and Mediterranean. Plus Traditional goodies to browse, along with a weekly rotation of traditional music, entertainment and Euro inspired bars.
  • Sat 30 Sep 9am-2pm E-Shed - Youth Market - Hosted by the Next Generation Entrepreneur Hub, support and celebrate our young entrepreneurs all under the age of 18, and their innovations. They'll be showcasing their talents and unique products that includes alcohol ink paintings, fidget toys, traditional Ukrainian crafts, jewellery, accessories, crystal wands and more.   • Sat & Sun 14-15 Oct 9am-4pm C-D Shed - Mushroom Festival - An exciting event that features the mighty mushroom in all its forms. Celebrate our local growers and treat yourself to some tantalising offerings at Mushroom Alley, including mushroom pizzas, burgers, desserts, drinks and more. There's also the Market's main stage that'll be carrying out a full program of live cooking demos, featuring local chefs and guest speakers. See here for more info .   • Foodie Tours at 10am on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays that run for two hours and includes a few different types of food tours. Plus there's the Special Tour Events like the Sustainable Shopping Tour upcoming on Thu 21 Sep 10am and Thu 16 Nov 10am for the environmentally conscious shopper.   • CRFT WRK Melbourne Craft Fair on the last Saturday of every month, 9am-4pm C-D Shed. Next upcoming dates are 30 Sep, 28 Oct and 25 Nov. Curated by Rose St Artists' Market, you can be assured of finding all these amazing creatives with their assorted creations under the one roof.
  • Soul Sundays from 9am-4pm at D Shed, every Sunday, bi-monthly, with next upcoming dates on 1 Oct & 26 Nov. Find Melbourne's best holistic practitioners and treat yourself to a bit of whimsy with professional tarot readers, astrologers, palmists etc.
  • Melbourne Book Market on Sat & Sun 9am4pm C-D Shed/E Shed towards Peel Street. For all lovers of books, there's a curated collection of more than 5000 new and pre-loved titles.
  • Storytime at Mary Martin Bookshop Wednesday Nights, String Bean Alley, Container 26 - Get lost in a story at Mary Martin Bookshop for exciting readings catering to both kids and adults. There are regular book signings with Residential Author Cameron Dusting on Wednesday nights when the night market is on.
