What to do on Saturday Morning in Glebe

Glebe Point Rd is an amazingly cultured and leisurely walk on a Saturday morning. In the winter you might want to sit in at any of the numerous cafes and enjoy a good read whilst sipping on a cappuccino.
On this day however, I was ready to melt from the spring heat. Ducking into my personal favourite,
Badde Manors Cafe which is tucked away on the corner of Francis St, I enjoyed their famed classic; Apple Cider with Lemon Sorbet. With a sour tang and soda-ry goodness, I kicked back and relaxed to the sound of some light-hearted jazz-pop buskers playing outside.
Afterwards, I perused the area of bookstores and ended up at the
Glebe Markets . If you are a fan of the street-style vintage and the minimalist modern in fashion, art and jewellery, this is the place to find your next centrepiece. Although a tad overpriced, the atmosphere is great and you can wind down on the grass with fresh steamy market food and Ray Bans-inducing live music. It is open from 10am to 4pm every Saturday and a great place for the family, couples and clothes-shopping punters alike.
As we continued to walk the street, my friend pointed out that the
Toku Toku Bar was a great addition to the area especially with its gimmicky soju tasting plates and fusion Japanese dishes. Alas, another place to jot down for any night ventures in the future.
Overall, Glebe Point Rd induces a retro yet modern vibe, and it certainly shows with the young crowd that it attracts. It exudes the sunny atmosphere that I can look forward to on a weekend morning. What more could you ask for?
