Let me guess, you've been ticking along, worrying about presents and preparations for Christmas, now you've realised New Year's Eve is around the corner and you haven't thought of anything! Don't panic, although we can't bring you a posse, we can give you a list of great events!
FAMILY FRIENDLY Streets Happy Zoo Year
Perth Zoo's annual NYE celebration includes a countdown at 9pm, Disney characters and a kid's dance party. Illusionists Adam and Selena, Explosive Dance Company, Hula Magic Polynesian dancers and a cover band, Dakota will be on hand to ensure you and your little ones have a rocking New Year's Eve. Rottnest Island Fireworks Extravaganza
For the first time, Rottnest Island will have a fireworks show over Thompson Bay at the family friendly time of 9pm. Free entertainment between 4.00pm and 8.30pm include WASAMBA, games station, glow in the dark face painting and an art & craft station. There will also be food outlets and live music by China Doll until 8.30pm in the Settlement Food Village. When: 4.00pm – Midnight

Mandurah Foreshore NYE
Bring your picnic rug down to the foreshore to join in on entertainment, fireworks and a smoke and alcohol free event. Entertainment includes Danny Bau, Hip Hop dancer Brenand Buens, The Blue Beats and The Merinda's. Various food vans, market stalls and amusement rides will be close by as well as Sector X, a free gaming zone for 11-25 yr olds. Fireworks at 9pm for the kids and another at midnight to ring in the New Year.

DINNER AND DANCING
After a nice night out, but still want to hear what the person next to you is saying? Here is a list of some great restaurants offering a sit down dinner menu and a bit of a boogie later in the evening.
If a relaxed, gourmet dinner is more your pace, head to Mosmans Restaurant. With an oyster station and a glass of sparkling on arrival, guests will be provided a delicious dinner with dessert and even a cheese station. Cover band Little Belle Trio will get the party moving with classic hits from the 50s to now. Formal dress code applies.

Swan River NYE Cruise The Crystal Swan is putting on a three course plated meal to be enjoyed while guests cruise the Swan River. Afterwards there will be entertainment on the upper level and a resident DJ on the lower level, allowing guests the freedom to choose what style of night they prefer.
