Have you ever wondered where a good place to hang out with a few friends is? Well, there's no longer a need to wonder!
If ever you happen to find yourself wandering around Box Hill with nothing to do – there's a simple solution – head to Timeout on Station street, just a five minute walk from the train station. Or, if you want to do something fun with your friends on a Saturday night (or in between classes), there's always Dark Zone, once again, only a few minutes from the station!
Timeout has plenty of game for you or a group of friends to enjoy. From classic pinball to the more advanced racing games. The amount of fun you can have at this establishment is endless, but make sure you bring plenty of coins.
Dark Zone is mainly a laser skirmish establishment, but has a handful of arcade games for when you're waiting to start laser tag. This laser skirmish has three levels within the arena you play in. The concept of this particular one is to hit as many opposing players (there's at least two teams, up to four), and to destroy the others' bases, resulting in more points to your team.
There's more than just these two places to kill time in Box Hill. There are countless restaurants close by. Different varieties of food can be found lurking around every corner you turn, every street you cross, so look for something that looks enticing!
Then there's always Box Hill Central, a shopping centre that conveniently has the station under it! There's all kinds of shops located here, from clothing stores to produce. Plus, there's a few specialty stores that sell hard-to-find imported goods (like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Dr Pepper yummy!).
In short, Box Hill is a very interesting place to go if you've never been there, or even if you've been there a hundred times. There is always something interesting to do in Box Hill, and only a few are listed above!
